Installing the app

How to download and install the app on macOS and Windows, and what happens on first launch.

What you need

  • A Mac with macOS 14 or later — with Apple silicon or an Intel processor.
  • Or a PC with Windows 11, 64-bit (x64).
  • No account and no card: the free pet is built into the app.

Download

Open the Download page and pick the installer for your system. The site suggests a match, but the choice is yours.

Which Mac do you have: Apple menu → “About This Mac”. If it says “Chip Apple M…”, pick Apple silicon (arm64). If it says “Processor Intel”, pick Intel (x64).

Check the file

This is optional. The Download page lists the SHA-256 of every installer — the file's fingerprint. Compare it with the fingerprint of the file you downloaded:

  • macOS, in Terminal: shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/<file name>.dmg
  • Windows, in PowerShell: Get-FileHash $HOME\Downloads\<file name>.exe -Algorithm SHA256

If the strings differ, do not open the file — download it again.

Install

macOS. Open the .dmg file and drag the app into Applications. Start it from Applications or Launchpad.

Windows. Run the .exe installer. The app is installed for your user only; no administrator rights are needed.

First launch

  • The free pet appears on the screen and says hello. It lives above your windows without getting in the way: clicks pass through the empty space around it.
  • An app icon appears in the menu bar (macOS) or the notification area (Windows). Its menu has settings, pet choice, pause, quiet mode and quit. Right-clicking the pet opens the same menu.
  • Drag the pet anywhere on the screen with the mouse — it remembers the spot.
  • There is no setup wizard: everything else is optional, in the settings.
  • Starting with your computer is off by default. Turn it on in the settings, on the “Account” tab.

To make the pet show what your AI agents are doing, connect your agents. To pick a purchased pet or a pet from the subscription, sign in to the app.

Updates

The app checks for new versions by itself and shows a mark and a “Download” button in its menu. The button opens the download page in your browser: the app never installs anything on its own. A new version installs the same way as the first one.

How to remove the app: see Uninstalling the app.
